In continuation of the unfolding drama surrounding the Rivers State political crisis, there were disturbing social media News stories regarding the health of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, claiming that he collapsed and was flown to France for medications.
However, in an apparent reaction, Lere Olayinka , the Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, debunked the reports that his principal slumped in Abuja.
Olayinka while reacting to the rumours described it as fake news.
Recall, there were social media posts alleging that the Minister collapsed at an event on Friday in the nation’s capital, leading to his being immediately rushed to an undisclosed hospital, before flying him to France.
