The Member Representing Isuikwuato and Umunneochi at the National Assembly, Chief Amobi Ogah on Saturday at his Onuaku Uturu country home doled out vehicles, Tricycles, motorcycles, Industrial sewing machines, Grinding machines, Deep freezers, among other empowerment materials worth about N1 billion to his Constituents in commemoration of his two years in office.

The unprecedented empowerment event which saw beneficiaries chosen without regards to political affiliation smile home with unexpected gifts attracted dignitaries from across the country.

Speaking at the event, the Abia State Governor, Dr Alex Otti restated his administration’s Commitment to initiating policies and programmes aimed at improving the living standards and socio-economic development of Ndi Abia.

Dr Otti described the achievements of Amobi Ogah as commendable stressing that the Lawmaker has continued to demonstrate that politics and Leadership are all about impacting lives positively rather than enriching oneself.
The Governor who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof Kenneth Kalu therefore charged Chief Ogah not to relent in ensuring quality representation of his people.
In their remarks the Chairman House Committee on Appropriation who is also the Member Representing Bichi Federal Constituency Kano State, Hon Abukakar Kabir, who was represented by Mr Mark Essiet and the Member Representing Isialangwa North and South Federal Constituency, Chief Ginger Onwusibe, commended their colleague for his patriotic representation of his Constituency and described him as a worthy representatives.
In his speech, the Abia State Chairman of the Labour Party, Sir Emmanuel Otti lauded Chief Ogah for his passion towards improving the living standards of the people through youths empowerment, facilitating employment and skills acquisition training program.

Addressing the gathering, the Convener and Member Representing Isuikwuato/Umunneochi at the National Assembly, Chief Amobi Ogah pointed out that the event which is the second edition of his empowerment programme through Ugo Abia Grassroots Movement Initiative was designed to Carter for the economic and social emancipation of the people of his Constituent.

Chief Ogah explained that the empowerment programme is a show of appreciation of love and support the people have continued to show him and Governor Alex Otti and enjoined the beneficiaries to put into good use the empowerment they received
Baring their minds, some of the beneficiaries including: Mr Simeon Ndubuisi, Ugonma Nwachukwu and Njideka Obasi described the event as a harvest of purposeful Leadership and quality representation and prayed God to bless Chief Ogah.
Hanto Daily News reports that the number of the empowerment items running into thousands saw the distribution continue till Sunday evening.
