Return to God – Apostle Nzimiro enjoins Ndigbo

A call has gone to Ndigbo to return to God and mend their ways in order to pave the way for divine restoration for Igbo land.

Speaking at the grand finale of AlaIgbo Sunrise Prayer Crusade, organised by the East Mandate Global held at Aba South Local Government Area headquarters, the Convener and vision bearer of the project, Apostle Ofodile Nzimiro noted that recent happenings in Igbo land have shown that God is not being glorified .

While pointing out that the attitude has led to setbacks, Apostle Nzimiro made it clear that Igbo land has been ordained by God to be a land overflowing with wealth and prosperity.

He commended Governor Otti, who graced the event, for returning Abia State to God shortly after his election as Governor of Abia State.

In his speech, Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti called for collective responsibility in promoting justice and upholding righteousness in Abia State.

He stressed on the need for all to be their brothers’ keeper, emphasising that righteousness exalts a nation.

“For us, we have a responsibility and that responsibility is to be our brothers’ keeper. We should say something when we see something.

“The Bible said that righteousness exalts a nation, we are not perfect, we are human beings but we would not see anything that is wrong and support it, that is one of the secrets of this government in the last 22 months,” Gov. Otti stated.

The Governor reiterated his administration’s commitment to upholding righteousness and urged citizens to embrace hard work, integrity, and accountability.

He emphasized the significance of covenants, noting that the event marks a “celebration of the great emancipation of Abia  people”.

“Covenants are one of the most important things in the Bible. I’m sure you may have heard about the seven covenants right from our first father Adam, Abraham, Noah, Moses, David. There are seven covenants and then you get to the new and the everlasting covenant.

“Covenants symbolizes  relationship that is binding, so, that is what has happened here and that is what happened in 2023 shortly after we took office”, the Governor pointed out.

While cautioning against complacency, the Governor took a firm stance against fraudulent activities and cult practices .

He emphatically condemned those that engage in cybercrime, occultism and rituals and enjoined communities to reject individuals who acquire wealth through corrupt means and attempt to destabilize the society.

“We must not celebrate those who steal money. If someone comes to your village flaunting wealth and trying to remove the traditional ruler to install himself, we will not recognize such a person.

“All the young men involved in ‘Yahoo Yahoo Plus’ and other devil-worshiping practices today, it will not work for you again. If it was working before, it will never work again,” Gov. Otti declared.

The Prayer Summit also featured prayers for Abia State, the Southeast geopolitical zone, Governor Otti and his cabinet as well as music ministrations from renowned gospel singers among others.
