UEFA Champions League round of 16: it’s Madrid and German derbies

It will be another Madrid derby after Real Madrid and Athletico Madrid were paired to meet in last 16 of this season’s Champions League following the draw held this Friday.

Also two Giants in the German Bundesliga, Current Champion, Bayern Leverkusen and Current leaders of the season, Bayern Munich will also slug it out in another clash.

In another exciting pairing, premiership Leaders, Liverpool will take on French Ligue 1 Champions, Paris Saint-Germain while Arsenal face PSV Eindhoven with Inter Milan facing Feyenoord, who are fresh from knocking out AC Milan in the play-offs.


Spanish Giants, Barcelona will face Benfica, while Aston Villa will square up against Belgian Side, Club Brugge.

Last season’s beaten finalists Borussia Dortmund will face French side Lille where former Nigerian international, Vincent Enyeama manned the post for many seasons.

First legs of the matches are to be played between March 4/5, with the second legs holding between March 11/12, March.
