The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Organizing 2025 Convention Committee slated for Ibadan, Oyo State and Adamawa state governor, Ahmadu Fintiri has said that the convention scheduled to hold on Saturday and Sunday will hold as planned.
Speaking with Journalists last night, shortly after the PDP stakeholders’ meeting in Abuja, the Governor made it clear that the date for the convention is sacrosanct.
According to reports, while the former president of the Senate, Bukola Saraki canvassed for a caretaker committee to head the party at the meeting, majority said it has to be elective convention.
The emergency stakeholders’ meeting, held at the Bauchi State Governors Lodge in Asokoro, Abuja, was attended by National Working Committee Members, serving and former governors, National Assembly members, BOT members, and state party chairmen among others.
