Gunmen attack Natasha’s Kogi home

Reports this Thursday morning say unknown hoodlums armed with cutlasses and firearms on Tuesday attacked the family residence of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan in Obeiba-Ihima area of Okehi Local Government Area, Kogi State.

Credible sources say the attack took place around 1:00 a.m., and involved at least three armed individuals that engaged in vandalizing the building, including shattering window panes.

According to the reports security operatives from the Okehi Division were swiftly deployed to the scene following a distress alert.

So far no casualties were reported and no arrests have been made, while security teams have documented the damage, and preliminary investigations are underway.

While the motive behind the attack remains unclear, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has confirmed the ugly incident.

Confirming the attack in a statement this Thursday, the Chief Press Secretary to the Senator Arogbonlo Israel, condemned the attack, describing it as a calculated assault in direct response to Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan’s courageous stance against the Senate President.

He called on the public to remain calm and support the pursuit of justice for Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan as well as support her dedication to speaking truth and representing her constituents.
