Top opposition party, the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has officially zoned the presidential ticket for 2027 to Southern Nigeria.
The decision by the NDC was reached at its national convention in Abuja on Saturday and made public in the party’s official handle.
“NDC presidential ticket is zoned to the South!!” the party wrote.
According to the party, the presidential ticket is for a single four-year term as the 2031 ticket is allocated to northern Nigeria.
Top not hers of NDC including Peter Obi, Rabiu Kwankwaso, Senator Siriake Dickson, and others, are among those present for the national convention of the party.
