The youngest Minister that served under the President Muhammadu Buhari led administration, Sadiya Umar Farouq has been declared wanted by Nigeria anti corruption agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
Fifty-two year old Umar Farouq who served in the specially carved out Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Social Development was declared wanted over alleged abuse of office and diversion of public funds.
In a notice shared via the agency’s official website on Saturday, the EFCC enjoined anyone that could help in tracking her to assist the agency.
The announcement further stated: “Farouq, 52, is an indigene of Zamfara State and her last known address is EN008, Okpo River, off Agulu street, Maitama, Abuja.
“Anybody with useful information as to her whereabouts should contact EFCC offices.”
Recall, a Federal Capital Territory, FCT, High Court sitting in Apo, Abuja, on April 16, 2026, issued an arrest warrant against Umar Farouq.
