I’m now free – Tinubu’s sacked SA

The Dismissed Special Assistant to the President on Digital and Creative Economy in the office of the Vice President, Fegho John Umunubo says his sack will now enable him to really be free.

Reacting to the development on Monday, Umunubo took to Instagram, sharing a screenshot of the official release and writing: “It has been my honor to serve this country and the Creative Industry. Now I am free to fly.”

Analysts say the philosophical statement could begin to manifest any moment as there are indications that the separation could result in uncomfortable situations for both parties.

Recall, the former SA’s disengagement was approved on Monday and was with immediate effect, as contained in a release issued by Abiodun Oladunjoye, Director of Information and Public Relations at the State House.

The presidency had warned stakeholders and the public against dealing with Umunubo in any capacity on behalf of the administration.

The surprising announcement came just days after Umunubo had publicly pledged loyalty to Vice President Kashim Shettima and the Tinubu government, urging Nigerians to rally behind the Renewed Hope Agenda.
