FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike has warned Governor Siminalayi Fubara against refusing his supporters public facilities in Rivers State for their activities.
The warning which is an indication of another session of Political tensions in the Oil-Rich State followed the Rivers Government’s refusal to approve the use of General Yakubu Gowon Stadium for the inauguration of senatorial and local government coordinators of the Rivers State Renewed Hope Ambassadors.
Wike who was addressing supporters at Captain Elechi Amadi Polytechnic Rumuola, where they finally held the event, accused the Rivers State Government of frustrating the activities of the Renewed Hope Family by denying them access to a major public facility.
The FCT Minister therefore issued a warning to the Fubara led administration, vowing that future refusals would be met with defiance.
“We applied to the state government for the General Gowon Yakubu Stadium. They refused us.
“But let me say, next time we will do this, if you don’t approve it, we will break it by force.
, “I want to say it to everybody, enough is enough, we are all from Rivers State. Nobody can deny us the facilities of the state.
“If you don’t agree to give us, we will do the needful and we will take it by force. Heaven will never fall. And even when heaven falls, everywhere will be at peace,” the Minister declared.
According to him, Rivers’ people should have access to public facilities regardless of political differences.
