The Coordinator of the P-BAT Door-to-Door Movement, Rivers State Chapter, Dr. Kingsley Ogu, has taken the campaign for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates directly to the grassroots, engaging youth leaders in Egi and Ogbogu communities of Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area of Rivers State.
Ogu, who held separate strategic meetings with the Egi Community Youth Chairman’s Forum and the Ogbogu Community Family Youth Chairman’s Forum, said the discussions focused on the state of affairs in the country and the need for citizens at the grassroots to play an active role in shaping the nation’s political future.
Acknowledging that Nigeria can still do better, the groups also recognised what they described as progress recorded by the country in recent years. They resolved to support President Tinubu and other APC candidates, with the grassroots structures expected to begin an aggressive door-to-door mobilisation across the communities.
In appreciation to both groups, Ogu said the engagements had further reinforced his belief in the ability of the grassroots to play a decisive role in political mobilisation.
The meetings form part of efforts by the P-BAT Door-to-Door Movement to take its campaign beyond political circles and into communities, engaging directly with local leaders and residents ahead of the elections.
