Oluebube Chukwu foundation takes October sanitation exercise to Eke Isuochi.

The Oluebube A. Chukwu Foundation is to take the Monthly Sanitation Exercise, for October to Eke Amuda Isuochi, in zone 2 of Umunneochi LGA on Saturday, 26

The Foundation’s effort which is an initiative aimed at keeping the environment clean and safe begins at 7 AM and ends at 10 AM in accordance with the Abia State environmental sanitation law.

A release by the foundation therefore invites everyone to participate in the patriotic exercise.

The release also encourages Volunteers to come with their hoes, machetes, brooms, rakes and shovels for this community sanitation effort that is changing the face of environmental cleanliness in the area.

According to the release, the Oluebube A. Chukwu Foundation has made environmental cleanliness a key pillar of its community outreach to assist Government in addressing waste management issues, promoting hygiene, and helping to reduce the environmental challenges that affect public health.

It makes it clear that the Monthly Sanitation and Cleanup Exercise is now more than just a one off event as It has become a grassroots movement designed to instill the culture of cleanliness and responsibility in the people of Umunneochi.

The release points out that a different zone is selected for the clean up, each month to ensure that no part of Umunneochi is left out.

Recall, last month, the exercise took place at Orie Ngodo Market in zone 1, recording a resounding success as over 200 volunteers, including elders, youths, men, and women, participated in the exercise.
