About 183 Volunteers from Abia North Senatorial Zone, on Saturday (28/3/26) joined the Oluebube A. Chukwu Foundation (OACF) in its monthly environmental sanitation exercise.
The large scale sanitation exercise, aimed at promoting environmental cleanliness and community engagement, took place simultaneously in the five LGAs : Isuikwuato, Umunneochi, Bende , Ohafia and Arochukwu with Participants exhibiting enthusiasm.
Reports say participants demonstrated strong commitment and teamwork, contributing to improved environmental hygiene and raising awareness on the importance of regular sanitation.

In Isuikwuato LGA, the OACF Manager, Mr. Anyachi Ndubuisi, alongside community leaders and volunteers, were on hand for the sanitation exercise held at Amiyim, Ndioha Amaba Village Square in Ward 3.
A total of 12 participants took part in clearing debris and improving the cleanliness of the area.

According to Hanto Daily News Correspondent who monitored the exercise in Umunneochi LGA, it was a huge turnout, as 65 volunteers participated in the exercise at Nkwo Mbala Market Square, Mbala Achara Ward (Zone 2).
The exercise coordinated by the LGA Manager, Mr. Uwey Onyemachi, with support from the Zone 2 Coordinator, Don Silas, and the Women Leader, Onwu Salome saw Volunteers cleaning the market and surroundings.

In Bende LGA, 10 participants were at Amaege Okoko Item, Ward B, under the supervision of the Ward Coordinator, Hon. Sunday Ichie Eke, with the directives of the LGA Manager, Mr. Evans Godswill for the clean-up exercise.

It was another massive turnout in Arochukwu axis, as 60 volunteers gathered at Umuchiakuma Market in Eleoha Ward, Ihechiowa, for the exercise led by the Ward Coordinator, Nwankanma Ndu Okwun, under the guidance of the LGA Manager, Mr. Uyor Enyinnaya.

In Ohafia LGA, 36 volunteers engaged in clearing blocked drainage systems in Asaga under the supervision of the LGA Manager, Mr. Best Okorie, with the support of the ward Cordinator Mr Peter Ogba Kalu.
In its reaction, the Oluebube A. Chukwu Foundation commended the efforts of its managers, coordinators, community leaders, and volunteers, and reestated its commitment to advancing public health, environmental sustainability, and grassroots development initiatives.
