More young people to benefit from Jerry Eze Foundation Empowerment Grant as Fund hits $525,000

The Jerry Eze Foundation’s Digital Empowerment Grant for young people in agriculture, manufacturing and technology an initiative of the Jerry Eze Foundation’s broader mission to empower young people and support sustainable economic growth across Africa is set to empower over 150 young people following recent gains made by the Foundation

The increase in the number of potential beneficiaries followed the significant, rising from $300,000 to $525,000, courtesy of fresh contributions from prominent individuals and corporate organisations.

Founder of the foundation, Pastor Jerry Eze, who announced the development in a follow-up video shared on social media, said: “Yesterday I told you that the grant is about $300,000 for about 100 young people.

“Tonye Cole committed funding for 20 additional beneficiaries, contributing $60,000, while Tony Elumelu also sponsored 20 young persons, adding another $60,000 to the pool.

” Nuvion Bank and Flutterwave jointly sponsored 35 beneficiaries, contributing $105,000, bringing the total grant value to $525,000.

“So the total grant that we are going to be looking at right now is $525,000, I’m sure you know it’s something to cheer about.”

According to the soft spoken and ever smiling Pastor, apart from financial grants, the Tony Elumelu Foundation will provide a 12-week business education course for all awardees, while Flutterwave, a leading African fintech company, will also offer technical backstopping for beneficiaries in the technology category.

Pastor Eze made it clear that the selection process and criteria would soon be announced, adding that the entire process would be managed independently.

Pastor Jerry Uchechi Eze, a former Presenter/Broadcaster with the Broadcasting Corporation of Abia state is the founder of Streams of Joy International and convener of the massive online prayer movement, New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declaration(NSPPD) Popularly known for its dictum, “what God cannot do does not exist” .
