Methodist Church honours Oluebube Chukwu for service to humanity, unwaivering integrity

The Christ Methodist Church, World Bank Housing Estate, Umuahia, Abia State has honoured the Head, Due Process and Public Procurement Bureau, Abia State, Dr. Oluebube Chukwu, with the prestigious Pillar of Hope Award.

Conferring the award on Dr Chukwu during the church’s 2025 Annual Adult Harvest and Thanksgiving Service, the Presbyter, Bethel Circuit, the Very Rev. Vincent C. S. Isiocha, JP, said the honour was in recognition of Dr. Chukwu’s unwavering integrity, service to humanity, commitment to due process, consistent support for community development initiatives, and his immense assistance to Governor Alex Otti in delivering quality governance to Abians.

He further commended Dr. Chukwu for exemplifying transparency, steadfastness, and a lifestyle that inspires hope across the state.

Responding, Dr. Oluebube Chukwu, who was represented by his Executive Assistant, Mr. Arisa Udemgba, thanked the church for finding him worthy of the honour.

He therefore charged them to continue praying for and supporting the administration of Dr Alex Otti, assuring that the Governor remains committed to sustaining the transformation currently reshaping Abia State.

In his sermon, titled “Letting Go of the Past.” the Very Rev. Isiocha challenged Christians to shed the burdens of past disappointments, hurts, and regrets, emphasizing that spiritual growth becomes possible only when believers embrace renewal and trust God for fresh beginnings.

He described thanksgiving as a moment of release, renewal, and realignment with God’s purpose and enjoined all to embrace such spirit.
