The Mayor Umunneochi local government area, Chief Sunny Afurobi, has inaugurated the Physical Therapy Unit of Isuochi Progressive Union, USA, Medical Centre Nkwoagu, Amuda Isuochi, a project initiated by the Isuochi Indigenes residing the United States of America.

Speaking while performing the ceremony, Chief Afurobi lauded the philanthropy of Isuochi Indigenes in the United States of America, which resulted in the multi million naira state of the Art Health Facility and described the innovation as first of it’s kind in the history of Isuochi.
He noted with delight that the quality of Equipment installed in the Hospital were highly sophisticated and comparable to what is seen or obtained in equipped public hospitals.

“This hospital stands as a symbol of compassion and commitment—run on a charitable basis and sustained by the generosity of our indigenous brothers and sisters living abroad, whose support makes free medical treatment a reality for countless patients.
“Your dedication, sacrifice, and continued belief in this mission have transformed hope into healing. You may be far in distance, but your presence is felt every day through the care delivered here,” he noted.

The mayor enjoined the people of Isuochi and the general public to maximise the opportunity provided by the Hospital to monitor their health and prayed God to reward the Union.
Mayor Afurobi further thanked the Medical Director, Dr Amobi Uwaezuoke, and other health workers in the Hospital, for their painstaking efforts in maintaining the Hospital and serving the people, and urged them not to relent.
In his welcome address, the Medical Director, Dr Amobi Uwaezuoke, pointed out that the mission of the Medical Centre, is to strengthen the Health of Community through affordable, patent-centred healthcare delivery with compassion, ethical standards, and Christian Values to improve the quality of life for the people of Isuochi and surrounding communities.

Dr Uwaezuoke disclosed that they provide physical Therapy, General Health, X-Ray services, Laboratory Services, Eye care Services, Ultra Sound services, Pharmacy Services among others, adding that their processes are computerised.
While thanking Chief Afurobi for honouring the event, the Medical Director appealed to the sponsors to donate facilities that will enable them to begin surgeries.
