The Senior Special Assistant to Abia Governor on Due Process, Dr. Oluebube A. Chukwu has stressed the need for inclusive governance at all levels to enable the fostering of sustainable development at the grassroots.
Speaking at Council Headquarters of Umunneochi Local Government Area, Nkwoagu during Saturday’s Stakeholders’ meeting convened by the Executive Mayor, Chief Sunny Afurobi, Dr Chukwu Chukwu commended the Council Chairman for bringing
together key stakeholders, government appointees, elected representatives, and party executives to discuss the future of the local government.
He reiterated the commitment of the Abia State Government to supporting initiatives that drive progress in Umunneochi, stressing that open dialogue among Community leaders, government officials, and citizens is essential for effective governance.
The Senior Special Assistant urged the Stakeholders to remain dedicated to the collective vision of building a stronger and more prosperous Umunneochi.
Dr Chukwu used the forum to reaffirm his dedication to advocating for policies that would enhance the welfare of Umunneochi residents and called for continuous engagement between the government and the people to ensure that policies reflect the true aspirations of the communities.
While encouraging community leaders to remain proactive in supporting government initiatives aimed at improving the standard of living, he expressed confidence that through collective efforts, Umunneochi would continue to witness remarkable growth, prosperity and transformation.
Hanto Daily News reports that the meeting which also provided an opportunity for stakeholders to assess ongoing projects and explore new avenues for economic and social development further discussed developmental priorities, infrastructural projects, and strategies to enhance economic growth.
Participants shared insights on pressing issues affecting the local government and proposed collaborative solutions to address them.
