The persistent and consistent exhibition of love for humanity by the founder Oluebube A. Chukwu Foundation (OACF), and Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Abia State on Due Process, Dr. Oluebube Amarauche Chukwu, PhD, Founder of OACF was once again recognized as he was honoured by the Institute for Humanitarian Studies and Social Development, Nigeria (IHSD) on Friday in Abuja, Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory.
The dual Honours which is in recognition of his exceptional contributions to humanitarian services and sustainable development included: the Certificate of Associate Fellowship in Humanitarian Services & Social Development and the Humanitarian Change Makers Commendation Award.
According to the certificate, the Governing Council of IHSD approved the Honourary Distinguished Associate Fellowship for Dr. Chukwu, as the certificate read: “owing to your contribution to social development through your personal initiatives and engagement in national development.”
The Fellowship, issued with Registration No: IHSD/FIHSD/B/058, places Dr Oluebube Chukwu among distinguished Nigerians recognized for advancing community impact.
On the other hand, the Humanitarian Change Makers Commendation Award “As a Social Change Maker” is in recognition of his impact as an agent of Social Change and advocate for sustainable development.”
The awards were conferred in partnership with the United Nations Institute for Training & Research (UNITAR/CIFAL) and Hope for Children CRC Policy Center, Cyprus, underscoring the international relevance of the work being done on the ground in Nigeria.
According to the Institute for Humanitarian Studies and Social Development, Nigeria, the awards are part of its mandate to identify, celebrate and encourage individuals and organizations driving positive change and contributing to the attainment of the Sustainable Development Goals.
Speaking after receiving the awards, Mrs Helen Mannic, Programme Manager of The Oluebube A. Chukwu Foundation, who represented the foundation at the event, noted that the recognition reflects Dr Chukwu’s commitment to service and the impact of OACF’s grassroots interventions.
She pointed out that from free skills training for women in Umunneochi, to medical outreaches, educational support, and youth empowerment programmes, the Foundation has remained focused on “Building Today, For A Better Tomorrow.”
Reacting to this double recognition, stakeholders described the development as a further affirmation of Dr. Chukwu’s growing profile as a development-driven leader committed to service, impact, and community transformation.
Hanto Daily News reports that as Senior Special Assistant on Due Process, Dr. Chukwu has also been instrumental in promoting transparency, accountability and people-oriented governance in Abia State.
Recall, The Oluebube A. Chukwu Foundation (OACF) was also on Saturday (22/8/26) honoured with Humanitarian Excellence in Service Award at the 16th Annual Humanitarian Public Lecture, Graduation and Induction Ceremony held in Abuja.
