Hope rises for the release Nnamdi Kanu as Governor Otti visits Tinubu

Just 48 hours after he visited the convicted leader of Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in Sokoto prisons, Abia State Governor , Dr Alex Otti on Tuesday visited President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Tuesday, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.


Though the details of the closed door meeting were not made public, there are indications that discussions centered on the ongoing efforts to secure the release of Mazi Kanu.

Recall, Governor Otti had before and after his Sunday’,s visit to Kanu at the Sokoto prison facility, where the IPOB leader is serving a life sentence, assured that he will continue the engagements already started before the judgment in pursuing the matter.

The Abia State Chief Executive had always maintained that resolving Nnamdi Kanu’s would be done through engagements, assuring that the case remains a priority for his administration.

Hanto Daily News reports that the visit to Aso Rock has already elicited hope and joy among the people who have been demanding the release of Mazi Kanu
