Abia State Governor, Dr Alex Otti has assured that the next phase of his administration will witness intensified efforts across key sectors of the state economy.
Speaking at the 2027 Aba Diocese Chrism Mass held at the CKC Aba, Governor Otti vowed that his regime would speed up governance as it approaches its fourth year in office.

The Governor who was accompanied by his wife, Priscilla restated that his government remains committed to delivering tangible results and assured that the ongoing CKC water scheme nearing completion, will soon begin supplying water to residents.
He further reaffirmed his commitment to democratic participation and called on young people, particularly those who have turned 18, to register and obtain their Permanent Voter Cards to participate actively in the forthcoming general elections.

While noting that intelligence reports indicate that certain individuals are mobilising outsiders to stage a protest aimed at causing dis-affection and provoking conflict that could lead to violence in Aba, urged residents not to participate in the planned protest.
He noted that though his government remains committed to lawful conduct, it would not hesitate to act decisively against any form of threats to public peace.

Governor Otti thanked the Catholic Bishop of Aba, Most Rev Prof, Augustine Echema, for his endorsement during the Chrism Mass, describing it as unexpected, encouraging and deeply significant.
Speaking earlier, the Catholic Bishop of Aba Diocese, the Most Rev Prof Augustine Echema, announced his endorsement of Governor Otti for a second term, stressing that the Governor’s achievements would continue to speak for him.
Bishop Echema made it clear that the Governor’s administration is three years of impactful and people-oriented leadership, pointing out that it has brought visible progress across the state.

The Catholic Bishop while highlighting key achievements of the Governor, appreciated his accessibility, commitment to worship across various Christian denominations, and efforts to foster peace and development and urged the Governor to sustain the momentum.
