Oluebube A. Chukwu Foundation, YAD-i, Jobberman, MasterCard Foundation Embark On Soft Skills Training for Umunneochi Women

A one-day soft skills training programme organized by Omenka Youth Movement and spearheaded by YAD-i in collaboration with Jobberman and The Oluebube A. Chukwu Foundation with support from the Mastercard Foundation has ended with many women benefitting from the scheme.

Women in Umunneochi Local Government Area of Abia State have benefited from a free soft skills training programme aimed at strengthening their personal development, employability and economic opportunities.

The skills training held on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, during the 2026 Omenka Women August Meeting at Peace Comprehensive School, Amuda Isuochi, and themed, “Empowered Women, Stronger Communities”, saw Participants receive 100% free training on key skills including effective communication, emotional intelligence, teamwork, leadership skills, time management and CV writing.

During the training exercise, Beneficiaries also received Jobberman Certificates supported by Mastercard Foundation, light refreshments, and networking opportunities.

Explaining the motive behind the project, the organizers said the soft skills employability session which was a component of the August meeting programme reflects a shared commitment to promoting women’s development and equipping them with practical skills needed to thrive in today’s competitive environment.

They noted that empowering women with soft skills is critical to ensuring sustainable incomes for women, their families and communities from Umunneochi and across Abia State.

Expressing their feelings Participants interviewed lauded The Oluebube A. Chukwu Foundation for affording them the unique oppotunity to acquire skills and knowledge to improve themselves and their families.

Hanto Daily News reports that the skills and employability initiative aligns with the vision of the founder of The OACF just as it is also in line with one of the pillars of The Oluebube A. Chukwu Foundation’s humanitarian service offering to society and the organization’s commitment towards “Building Today, For A Better Tomorrow.”
