The Federal Government has announced the introduction of a National Health Programmes for youths across the 774 local government areas of the Country.
Announcing the development in a statement by the President’s spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga this Monday, the Federal Government also called for applications from persons aged between 25 and 35.
According to the statement, those selected would be engaged in all the 774 local government areas of the country and would be remunerated and equipped with appropriate tools to drive positive change in the health sector.
The statement disclosed that the application deadline was 27th January 2025.
Other Eligibility Requirements Include possession of
Bachelor’s degree on (health-related, IT, or social sciences),
Demonstrable interest/ or Experience in Public health OR health-related NGO and partner organisations OR community projects that demonstrate leadership and initiative.
Furthermore, Candidates must be available to participate full-time in the fellowship programme and must be an indigene of the state being applied for.
Also, Candidates must possess smartphones with data capabilities i.e. for WhatsApp, Zoom etc. while recommendation from the University Dean OR NYSC place of primary assignment, or a respected organisation demonstrating character and leadership are added advantage.
