Grassroots Boxing Talent Hunt & State Finals 2026, tagged ‘Roaring Lion Boxing Championship, slated to hold on 30th september, 2026.
Hanto Daily News reports that Young boxers have already arrived for the Grassroots Talent Hunt programme holding at Parliament Hall, PPSMB, Enugu.
According to the Coordinator, Mazi Ikechukwu Okoronkwo the championship which is part of the state’s Youth Empowerment and Action Committee on Sports Literacy initiative is sponsored by the Enugu State Government
in partnership with
Ikeuj Boxing Promotions .
Speaking on the level of preparedness, Mazi Okoronkwo assured Governor Peter Ndubisi Mba, Speaker Uche C. Ugwu and Local government Chairmen of the coal city state that their efforts will not be in vain and commended them for their patriotic efforts.
He expressed confidence that top boxing talents would emerge from the grassroots boxing fiesta to represent Enugu State at the National events.
