The Nigeria Police has presented cheques worth Twenty-five million, seven hundred and seventy-five thousand, nine hundred and seventy-one Naira nineteen kobo. (₦25,775,971.19k) to 19 beneficiaries of Group Life Assurance / Group Personal Accident and IGP Family Welfare Scheme to beneficiaries from Ebonyi State Command.
Performing the emotional laden event on Friday on behalf of the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, the Commissioner of Police Ebonyi State command CP Anthonia A Uche-Anya represented on the occasion by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Administration, DCP Muhammed Alhaji Muhammed empathized with the families of the deceased and wounded officers.
She charged the recipients to put to good use what the funds as well as take care of the dependents left behind by the deceased officers.
CP Uche – Anya cautioned adult male recipients to be of good behaviour, invest their wisely, and shun vices.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mr. Nwali Emmanuel appreciated the Inspector-General of Police and promised that they would use the money to uplift their different families.
