Rights Activist and Former Abia State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Professor A. C. B. Agbazuere, says assuming the role of Governor’s wife by the wife of the Sole Administrator of Rivers State is amusing and petty.
Professor Agbazuere who made his feelings known in an interview with Arise Television stated that the development indicates a hidden agenda by the authorities.
The former Isiala Ngwa South Council Chairman called on the Sole Administrator to prioritize efforts to restore peace in the state instead of dwelling on financial matters and local government probes..
While accusing the Administrator of deliberately creating unrest to justify an extended stay in office, he alleged that images of the governor have been removed from several locations across the state and wondered whether these actions were part of a broader strategy to prolong the state of emergency.
“The administrator should be working to restore peace in Rivers State. Instead, he is talking about N15 billion and launching probes into local governments. It seems like a deliberate attempt to create confusion and extend his stay.
“Even his wife has assumed the role of the governor’s wife. This is clearly part of an agenda,” the former Labour Leader alleged.
