APC Primaries: Dr Philips Nto Successfully Screens for Abia North Senate Race

The aspiration of Dr. Philips Nto for the Abia North Senate seat received a major boost today following his successful screening at the National Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja.

Dr. Nto, a former Commissioner for Finance and Economic Planning in Abia State and former Provost of Abia State College of Education (Technical), Arochukwu, completed the screening process amid growing enthusiasm and support from party faithful, youths, and stakeholders across Abia North.

The exercise, conducted by the party’s designated screening committee, forms part of the APC’s internal democratic process ahead of the forthcoming primaries. Dr. Nto also assured party leaders that if given the party’s ticket, there would be what he described as an “Nto Wave” across Abia North. According to him, his candidacy would not only secure victory for the APC in the senatorial election, but would also secure victory for House of Representatives and State Assembly elections across the zone.

He further promised to mobilize massive support and secure victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Abia North, stressing that the APC would record stronger electoral success in the zone.

According to Dr. Nto, the growing support around his aspiration reflects the people’s desire for a new style of leadership rooted in fairness, competence, accessibility, and collective progress.
