The Abia State Government, in collaboration with strategic health partners and the Olusegun Obasanjo Foundation, will on Thursday 10/4/25 officially launch three major health initiatives aimed at improving the wellbeing of Abians.
They are the Formal Sector Health Insurance Scheme; Free Hearing Aid Distribution – a project of the Olusegun Obasanjo Foundation and Free Medical Outreach – to be flagged -off in Umuahia and fully executed in Aba, offering consultations, treatments, and minor surgeries at no cost to beneficiaries.
A release endorsed by the Commissioner for information, Prince Okey Kanu puts the venue at the International Conference Centre Umuahia while time is
2:00pm.
According to the release, the Governor, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, will be the Chief Host at these landmark events that will attract the presence of the representatives of the Olusegun Obasanjo Foundation, Health Development Partners, Medical Professionals, and other distinguished Guests.
The release therefore invites the public, especially stakeholders in the health sector, civil servants, community leaders, and interested residents, to witness and participate in these events.
