The Abia State Government has officially announced the cancellation of the Monthly Environmental Sanitation Exercise earlier scheduled for Saturday, May 30, 2026.
A release endorsed by Obioma Chidinma Success, Public Relations Officer, Ministry of Environment for the commissioner to their end informs residents and members of the public that there will be no restriction of movement across the state on the scheduled date.
The release therefore enjoins citizens are to go about their normal, lawful, and economic activities without interruption.
While noting the cancellation of the May 2026 sanitation exercise, the Ministry reiterates the importance of maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment throughout Abia State.
It enjoins residents to always observe proper environmental sanitation practices in their homes, markets, offices, and business premises.
