Just a few weeks after hosting a boxing championship in Enugu, another round of the South Eastern Nigeria Regional Boxing Championship will be held in Aba, the commercial nerve centre of the State on Tuesday, 16th December, 2025.
The championship tagged Enyimba 2025 is being sponsored by the sports loving Governor of Abia State, Dr Alex Otti and promoted by IKEUJ Boxing promotion.
The event slated to take place at the Event Center, Luxury City Hotel, Aba, will feature the defence of titles by winners in the Enugu championship.
According to Mazi Ikechukwu Okoronkwo – Ex-International Boxer and CEO, IKEUJ Boxing promotion, in the bouts, Chinaza Ikechukwu Okoronkwo (The Emperor ) will lock horns with his challenger in the Light Weight Category, while Chibuike Zoe Okoronkwo (The King Priest) will slug it out with his Challenger in the Feather Weight category.
As pointed out, the event which is Projected by Team Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, Abia State, via the Commissioner, Hon Sir Nwaobilor Nwadinma Ananaba, has received the approval of the Presidency, Nigerian Boxing Board of Control ( NBB of C).
