The People first Mandate Team, a group seeking a change in the Abia North Senatorial Seat says its attention has been drawn to a misleading publication circulated by a Blog site and credited to Dr. Philips Nto regarding Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, claiming that Dr Nto said senator Orji Kalu has done very well.
In a release endorsed by Dr Uchenna Akpi, the group made it clear that Dr. Philips Nto while featuring on a radio programme in Umuahia did not at any point state that Senator Orji Uzor Kalu “has done very well” in the manner being falsely circulated by mischief makers and opposition elements attempting to distort his position and mislead the public.
According to the group, what Dr. Philips Nto clearly stated during the interview, was that democracy thrives when leadership creates room for renewal, inclusiveness, and generational transition.
It further noted that APC Senatorial hopeful also emphasized that Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has played his part and completed his quota in the Senate, and enjoined him to allow younger and capable leaders to step forward and contribute their own quota to the development of Abia North.
According to the group, Dr. Nto maintains that the future of Abia North requires fresh energy, broader inclusion, new ideas, and more people-oriented representation capable of connecting effectively with the aspirations of the younger generation.
It therefore urges the public to disregard the false and misleading publication circulated by Kampala Blogs, as it does not reflect the true position of Dr. Philips Nto whose focus remains: building a stronger, fairer, and more progressive Abia North.
