The General Manager of Abia State oil Producing Areas Development Commission (ASOPADEC) Venerable Dr. Joshua Onyeike has charged the Labour Party Leadership in the Abia State to work assiduously in ensuring victory for Governor Alex Otti and the party in the 2027 general elections.
Receiving the State Working Committee of Labour Party who paid him a courtesy visit in his office, Venerable Onyeike pointed out that Dr Alex Otti, OFR has embarked on lots of projects aimed at impacting positively on the people and assured his willingness to partner with the ruling Labour Party in galvanizing support for the re-election of Governor.
The General Manager who made it clear that the agency has executed some infrastructural projects in the oil producing communities as directed by the State Governor, outlined some of the interventions to include the provision of electricity in Ukwa West LGA, construction of Asa Civic Center, Rehabilitation of Markets in Umuajuoha, Owaza and Obokwe, Reconstruction of Umuokomiri roads, water boreholes, Scholarships to indigent Students, empowerment of women among others.
He described Governor Otti as God sent and applauded him for the great achievements he has made in the governance of the State.
In his speech, the Team delegation and Abia Central Vice Chairman of the Party, Chief Kingsley Nwaobilor, said they came to seek support of the General Manager in sensitizing the people on the need to sustain their support for the State Governor Otti and commended the General Manager, Dr Onyeike for embarking on many laudable developmental projects in line with the visions of the present administration.
Contributing, the State Treasurer of the Party, Mrs Ngozi Anyanwu noted that the party needs support of all the Stakeholders for the reelection of the state Governor to enable him to continue with his good works.
In a Vote of thanks, Chief Elvis Nwagbara thanked the Governor for the appointment of Dr. Onyeike to head the Commission, pointing out that under his leadership, the Commission has embarked on many visible and impactful projects.
