Ex-International Boxer and Abia Sports Ambassador, Mazi Ikechukwu Okoronkwo, has raised the alarm over continued burglary in his family home at Amangwu in Arochukwu LGA of Abia State.
According to a statement by Mazi Okoronkwo who is the CEO IKEUJ Boxing Promotion, he discovered that thieves broke into his on Saturday (22/9/26) when he returned home from outside the state for some family engagements.
He named items removed to include: all solar batteries, Solar charge controller, Solar inverter, Borehole submersible pump, thick electrical wires and 1 panel kept inside his car park.
He further lamented that they also removed and disconnected the wiring in the house, making electricity totally unavailable in the building presently.
The Ex-International Boxer pointed out that this was the second time such was happening to his home and described the village as now not safe for properties.
“This is the second time my house in Amangwu Village has been burgled. The village currently feels unsafe for keeping property due to repeated burglary incidents.
“I appeal to the relevant security agencies, traditional rulers, and community leaders to investigate this matter and help bring the perpetrators to justice,” Mazi Okoronkwo wrote.
