OACF takes October sanitation exercise to Nneato Market

As has been the culture of a renowned philanthropic organization, The Oluebube A. Chukwu Foundation ( OACF) for some years now, the group took the October, 2025, monthly sanitation exercise to Orie Market, Ubahu Nneato, in Umunneochi Local Government Area of Abia State.

The effort which has taken OACF to all parts of Umunneochi Local Government Area, is part of its continued commitment to community service and environmental cleanliness.

Addressing members of OACF, the Traditional Ruler of Onuaga Okwe Autonomous Community, His Royal Highness, Eze Emmanuel Chigozie Azoro, lauded the foundation’s consistency in maintaining clean and enjoyable environment and expressed delight that such youth-driven effort was deepening its roots in Ubahu Nneato.

The Royal Father therefore charged the people of the area to throw their weight behind the initiative, arguing that a clean environment reflects the dignity of the people.

Contributing, the President General of Ubahu Development Union, Elder John Ihionu commended their efforts in sustaining the culture of cleanliness and civic responsibility.

He described the foundation’s initiative as a model worthy of emulation by other groups in the state, pointing out that a clean environment enhances public health and community development.

Expressing his feelings, the Chairman of Orie Market, Mr. Agafechukwu Okorie, appreciated the foundation for choosing the market for its monthly sanitation drive and encouraged traders to support the foundation’s efforts by maintaining hygiene within the market and the surroundings.

Responding, the Zonal Coordinator of the Oluebube A. Chukwu Foundation, Mr. Mike Ador Nwankwo, thanked all participants and community leaders for their support and reaffirmed the foundation’s resolve to sustain its monthly sanitation exercise and other humanitarian activities aimed at improving the living standards of residents across Umunneochi and beyond.

Hanto Daily in news correspondent who monitored the exercise reports that it attracted wide participation from residents, traders, and community leaders who lauded the foundation’s dedication to keeping public spaces clean.
