The Abia State Police Command says investigation has begun to unravel the cause of the death of a detained community Leader, Mr Akobundu in a Police station in Bende LGA a few days ago.
Addressing Youths at the Bende local government headquarters, CP Isah assured that the command will do everything possible to discover those and situations behind the mysterious death that saw Youths and police clash on Saturday.
While declaring that justice must be done, he made it clear that nobody no matter how highly placed will be spared, revealing that all the police officers involved have been arresred.
The Commissioner of Police who said the concerned officers are now with the state CID assured that the outcome of the investigations will be made public .
CP Isah therefore called on Youths to sheath their sword and wait for the conclusion of the investigations, pointing out that the command under him had in the past disciplined erring officers found guilty of unprofessional conducts.
“I came here not because of the police but because you. I want to plead with you. Since I came to this state I have note covered any police officer that has done wrong thing here. I have disciplined them, some of them have been charged to Court. Some of them are in prison today,” CP Isa told Bende Youths.
