The 2025 Gathering of Eagles, an annual spiritual rejuvenation event of the Canaanland Adoration Ministries, A.K.A E-Dey-Work might have come and gone but the echoes are still reverberating among Adorers and Followers of the last day of the five-day-programme.
The last day of today witnessed a dramatic empowerment of an Adorer who was singled out for mention by the President/Spiritual Director of the Ministry, Rev Fr Dr Magnus Ebere, SDV, for showing kindness throughout the programme.
The Eagle-eyed Spiritual Director noted with nostalgia how this kind man, Mr Nicholas Aguguesi, known in every gathering for his dance skills and using his bare hands to sound loud trumpetic exclamation of the word “Power” has been assisting a visually impaired Adorer, Nwachukwu Dunu, in doing everything throughout the event that took place at the adoration ground in Umuoma Onicha Ezinihitte Mbaise Imo State, Nigeria.
Rev Fr Dr Ebere who quietly took time to find the details of the relationship between the duo, revealed that Mr Dunu from Nnobi, ( the visually impaired) had no bloodly relationship with Mr Aguguesi who hails from Ihiala and lauded his decision to accompany the disabled from Anambra and throughout the duration of the event.
Moved by this practical act of Christianity, the outspoken Priest invited Mr Aguguesi to the Altar and handed over One hundred thousand Naira (N100,000) to him for exhibiting this exemplary love.
Amidst applause from Adorers, there began the rain of monetary gifts as many rushed to the Altar to join Fr E-Dey-Work by pronouncing their own donations and transferring same to the account of the beneficiary in recognition of this quality Christian life who went home smiling with huge amount of money.
Dwelling briefly on the love exhibited by this Patriotic Adorer, Rev Fr Dr Ebere whose ministry focuses on charity as well as consolation of the poor and the needy described this attitude as a real exhibition of sacrifice to better the lots of the disadvantaged and reminded Christians of the need to embrace such acts.
Speaking with Hanto Daily News, the beneficiary, Mr Nicholas Aguguesi who is a poultry farmer said he was dumb-founded over the gesture by Fr E-Dey-Work and Adorers and made it clear he never dreamt of such an offer.
According to him, it was his only way of ensuring that the visually impaired, Mr Nwachukwu Dunu whose eyes had this challenge following his attempt to separate a fight in 2009 attended and enjoyed the spiritual gathering he had longed for.
Hanto Daily News reports that the five-day crusade which attracted thousands of Adorers from across the globe featured Teachings, and witnessed unprecedented instant healings with many afflicted with sickness returning home with testimonies.
