The 2023 Vice Presidential Candidate for Labour Party, Senator Datti Baba-Ahmed has vowed never to leave the Party alongside Peter Obi to a new political platform
Making his feelings known in Abuja on Wednesday, (7/1/26), Baba-Ahmed made it clear that his loyalty remains with the Labour Party, stressing that his political future is tied to the party and not to shifting alliances.
The former Peter Obi’s running mate in the last presidential race, while emphasizing that he would not walk the same path of Obi after the former Anambra State governor exited the Labour Party, explained that his decision was based on personal conviction and long-term political goals.
The former Kadyba North Senator pointed out that he is not persuaded by the ADC project, describing those driving the coalition as “disgruntled politicians.”
According to him, the platform does not represent the kind of political direction Nigeria urgently needs.
While acknowledging his past partnership with Obi, Senator Baba-Ahmed maintained that political decisions must be guided by principle, not personal ties.
