After an unsuccessful attempt to whisk away Mallam Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai, former governor of Kaduna State, a few days ago at the Nnamdi Azikiwe international Airport, Abuja on his return from Egypt, the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has formally invited former Governor of Kaduna State Mallam Nasir El- Rufai for questioning.
The information came through Mallam El-Rufai on Friday in a post on X.
“Yesterday, after the futile attempt to abduct me, the ICPC delivered a letter to invite me to their office.”
“My lawyer has written to confirm that I will be attending the ICPC office on Wednesday, 18 February 2026,” he wrote.
Recall, Officials of the ICPC had made attempts to forcefully arrest El-Rufai at the Abuja Airport on Thursday on his arrival from Egypt where has spent sometime, but were resisted by friends and associates of the former Governor who demanded the legal backing for the move.
