Hon Ogah flags off rehabilitation of road neglected for over Forty years

The rehabilitation of the forgotten and impassable Obiulo Lekwesi – Leru Umuchieze link of the old Enugu – Awgu – Okigwe road flagged off recently by the member representing Isuikwuato/ Umunneochi federal Constituency , Hon Amaobi Ogah is to be realized on schedule.

Speaking on the occasion, Hon Ogah pointed out that the project is aimed at improving connectivity, enhancing economic activities, and boosting the overall quality of life for residents in the area.

According to him, the flag-off ceremony marks the beginning of a new era of development and progress in Umuchieze clan and its environs.

The road has remained closed to traffic for over four decades following the dilapidation of the stretch which is an alternative route to the ever busy and more risky Enugu- Port Harcourt expressway.

The ongoing rehabilitation work attracted by the member representing Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency, Hon. Amobi Godwin Ogah has brought a big relief to indigenes whose houses are located along the neglected road.

The Traditional Ruler of Obiulo Lekwesi, Eze Chiadi Udeogu commended Hon Ogah for always remembering his people, revealing the National Assembly member has brought succour to the community through his people oriented projects and empowerment programmes.

Hanto Daily News correspondent who visited the road reports that the people of Obiulo Lekwesi are highly excited for the development and prayed God to keep blessing their representative.
