Tears of joy flowed unstoppably from the eyes of a senior secondary school 2 student, Mmesoma Augusta Obima on the Altar of Canaanland Adoration Ministries, popularly called E Dey Work at Umuoma Onicha, Ezinihitte Mbaise, Imo State as the President/ Spiritual Director, Rev Fr Dr Magnus Ebere, SDV, announced scholarship at the highly rated Great Grace Junior Rate, the ministry’s post primary school.
The highly emotional pronouncement which occurred on Wednesday at the weekly adoration of the ministry elicited emotional reactions from Adorers is however another step taken by the Catholic priest known as Fr E Dey Work to uplift the life of the indigent and the needy.
Mmesoma who left the Great Grace Junior Rate after her JSS 1 due to some economic reasons had on Tuesday met Rev Fr Ebere at her village Eziudo Mbaise during an evangelism visit to Adorers in the area on seeing the compassionate priest rushed and embraced him, saying Daddy I want come back to the school.
Fr E Dey Work after discovering that Mmesoma really wanted to return to the school assured her of a positive response and on Wednesday announced a total scholarship for the indigent girl who later explained that she was missing the quality teaching of Great Grace.
It was at this moment that the young girl broke down in tears of joy, thanking God for the opportunity to return to the school.
Hanto Daily News reports that Mmesoma who had on Tuesday told Fr E Dey Work that she was not enjoying quality teaching in her current school, will in a few days time join other students in resuming for the 2026/27 academic session at Great Grace Junior Rate, Umuoma Onicha, Ezinihitte Mbaise.
