The Flying Eagles of Nigeria, the country’s Under-20 male national team, have secured a place in this year’s FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile after a 3-1 dramatic penalty shootout victory over Senegal in a quarter final encounter at the on-going Africa Cup of Nations U-20 tournament in Egypt .
The encounter which also saw the Nigerian boys qualify for the semifinals of the competition ended goalless after regular and extra time, with both teams unable to find the back of the net.

Nigeria converted three of their spot-kicks, while Senegal managed only one, allowing the Flying Eagles to clinch the win.
Hanto Daily News reports that the heroics of the Abia born 16 year- old Ebenezer Ifeanyichukwu Harcourt during the spot kicks who saved two penalty kicks ensured that Nigeria was not ousted from the completion .

Harcourt hails from Umunteke Asa, in the oil- rich Ukwa West Local Government Area of Abia State and currently plays for Sporting Lagos Academy.
