The Rising Lion in Elephant Shadow Boxing Championship, “Enyimba 2025” held at Aba Sports Club 1926 has ended successfully with holders defending their Titles.
In the Featherweight category, Zoe Chibuike Okoronkwo (“King Priest”) crushed Nwambeke Ndubisi via TKO in the first round to defend his title, a feat that repeated itself in the Super Featherweight encounter, where Israel Obinna Ogbodo (Izzy Money) also sent Udeh Chibuike packing in the first round .
The story was different in the lightweight bout where Chinaza Ikechukwu Okoronkwo (Emperor) won Ede Emmanuel Peter via unanimous decision.
For the Heavyweight clash, Chukwu Elijah Chinonso sent Idris A packing as the fight ended in TKO in the second round.
Speaking with Hanto Daily News, the CEO IKEUJ Boxing Promotion, Mazi Ikechukwu Okoronkwo described the outing as historic and successful and lauded the Boxers for their professional dispositions.
Mazi Okoronkwo who is an Ex-International Boxer commended Governor Alex Otti and the Abia State government for throwing their weight behind the championship and called on other states in the South East to emulate Abia and Enugu states’ grassroots sports development efforts.
He reiterated his readiness to work with individuals and bodies in enhancing Grassroots and professional boxing.
