Chair Abia council of Traditional Rulers bags Gregory University Honourary Doctorate Degree

The Gregory University Uturu (GUU), Abia state has conferred the Honourary Doctorate degree in Hospitality and Tourism management on the Chairman, Abia State Council of Traditional Rulers Eze Sir Linus Nto Mbah (LINTO).

Conferring the Honourary Doctorate degree on the monarch, at the Goodluck Jonathan Auditorium, Gregory University Uturu, during the 10th convocation of the institution, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Cele U Njoku described the 10th convocation as the celebration of a bold dream realised.

He urged graduates to see education, not merely as the acquisition of knowledge but as a call to character, service and responsible citizenship and congratulated them and Eze Linus Nto Mbah on their feats.

Expressing his feelings, after receiving the Honourary Doctorate Degree in Hospitality and Tourism management, the Chairman, Abia State Council of Traditional Rulers, Eze Dr. Linus Nto Mbah thanked the university for honouring him.

He particularly appreciated the Founder and Chancellor of the university, Professor Gregory Ibe, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Cele U Njoku, the Deputy Vice Chancellor Administration, Professor Uwaoma Kalu Uche among other management staff of the university for the honour done him.

Eze Dr. Linus Mbah , who saluted Governor Alex Otti for enabling environment he provides for private entrepreneurs such as Professor Gregory Ibe to invest in the state, promised to plead with Governor Alex Otti to reconstruct the access road of the University.

The royal father commended the Gregory University Uturu for its achievements in the last 10 years, and urged the institution to sustain the momentum, and donated millions of Naira for building hostels for students in the university.

The wife of the Chairman Abia State Council of Traditional Rulers, Ugoeze Grace Nto Mbah, members of the traditional institution, members of the Eze -cabinet from Ata Igbo-ukwu Kingdom, Umuzomgbo -Ihechiowa and many dignitaries accompanied the royal father to the convocation ceremony.
