As the struggle and manipulations by politicians to occupy different positions via the 2027 polls intensify, the Abia State chapter of the Labour Party has reaffirmed that Hon. Amobi Godwin Ogah remains the party’s recognized political representative for Isuikwuato/Umunneochi federal constituency.
The LP made the clarification in a release endorsed by the publicity secretary, Iroegbu Emenike following recent political gatherings in Umunneochi where campaign banners and mobilization materials allegedly featured the image of Governor Alex Otti, alongside candidates and political figures from other political parties.

The party made it clear that while it respects the constitutional rights of individuals and groups to freely associate and participate in lawful political activities, there was a need to provide proper guidance to party supporters and the public in order to avoid misinformation and wrong political interpretations.
The LP emphasized that Hon. Ogah remains a loyal and committed member of the Labour Party who has continued to distinguish himself through what the party described as effective representation and dedication to the ideals of the “New Abia” project championed by Governor Otti.
It, therefore, called on members, supporters, and stakeholders within Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency and across the state to remain united and continue supporting Ogah as the party’s officially recognized representative for the constituency ahead of the 2027 House of Representatives election.
The party also acknowledged what it described as the growing popularity and acceptance of Governor Otti across political divides, noting that the governor’s performance in office has continued to attract admiration from different groups within and outside Abia State.
The Labour Party assured that it remains focused on consolidating on the achievements recorded under the leadership of Governor Otti as well as strengthening its structures and promoting unity among members.
