Abia State Police Command has established a Special Monitoring Team to oversee and evaluate the activities of officers on duty.
The Commissioner of Police, Abia State Police Command, CP Danladi Isa, who announced the decision in a strategic meeting with Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers (DPOs), and Tactical Team Commanders at the Officers’ Mess said the team will apprehend any officer who engages in misconduct or tarnishes the image of the command.
The CP therefore sternly warned Officers of the Command against unprofessional conduct, including extortion and incivility toward members of the public.
The CP also stressed the need for officers to be proactive and vigilant in ensuring the implementation of security strategies during this Yuletide season which is to prioritize the safety of residents before, during, and after the festivities.
