The unveiling of the South East Professional Boxing Title Belt as part of the up coming edition of the Speaker Enugu State House of Assembly, Rt Hon ,UCHE C. Ugwu Grassroots Unity Cup Boxing Talent Hunt programme holds on Monday, 26 May, 2025.
According to a release by the organizers including: the Office of the speaker, PPSMB, the ministry of Youths and sports development as well as the 17 Local Government Areas , the event will take place at the old conference hall of the Enugu State House of Assembly while time is 2pm.
The release while commending the unrelenting efforts of Governor Peter Mbah and his administration in promoting grassroots development through Sports, also thanked the Speaker Enugu State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Uche C. Ugwu for the unprecedented attention he has paid to grassroots talent hunt in boxing and other sporting activities.
Speaking on the upcoming unveiling exercise, an Ex- international Boxer and licensed Coach, Mazi Ikechukwu Okoronkwo assured that everything is being put in place to ensure the success of this year’s edition of the Speaker’s grassroots boxing talent hunt.
He lauded the Enugu State Government and the Speaker Enugu State House of Assembly as well as the leadership of the various Local Government Areas for their support and assured that their efforts will yield the desired dividends .
