Though it was a sober moment for the family of Akujobi of Umuolu Ezimba, Owerri, Imo State as the body of the Late Lawrence Akujobi (Officer) was laid to rest on Thursday, the presence of the President/ Spiritual Director, Canaanland Adoration ministries known as E Dey Work, Rev Fr Dr Magnus Ebere, SDV, brought a sense of relief to members who were surprised to see the Catholic priest in their midst.
Rev Fr Dr Ebere popularly known as Fr E Dey Work who arrived at Lawrence Akujobi’s compound shortly after a funeral service for the deceased at the All Saints Anglican Church Umuolu Ezimba elevated the atmosphere as everyone including the wife of the deceased was excited to see him.
Sharing the word of God with the family members, Fr E Dey Work reminded them that death is not the end but a transition to glory.
He therefore enjoined them as Christian not to mourn like those that have no hope, pointing out that the deceased has gone to a better place.
According to him, the death of the late Lawrence Akujobi is a reminder that God expects us to live right as He alone knows the time and hour He will call us home.
While commiserating with the family on the loss, he prayed God to grant the fortitude to bear the loss.
Before leaving the compound, the Catholic priest was led to the grave side for prayers as demanded by the family
Hanto Daily News reports that on arrival, shouts of E Dey Work enveloped the air as people rushed to Fr E Dey Work, requesting that he lays hand on them.
