The Special Assistant to Abia State Governor on Due Process, Dr Oluebube Chukwu says that the focus of the administration of Dr Alex Otti on road rehabilitation, urban renewal, healthcare improvement, education and economic empowerment, has set Abia on a path of rapid progress and development.
Speaking with Journalists in Umuahia, Dr Chukwu described as unprecedented the wave of development and infrastructural transformation being carried out by the present administration as all parts of Abia are now construction sites.
“The 17 Local Government Areas of Abia State have currently become active construction sites since the state transitioned into a New Abia, where governance is truly centered on the welfare of the people.
“Governor Alex Otti, in less than two years in office, has achieved remarkable infrastructural and developmental milestones that past administrations struggled to accomplish in their eight years tenure,” the Due Process Boss noted.
Dr Chukwu who doubles as the Head, Due Process and Public Procurement Bureau, pointed out that from the reconstruction of major roads to the revitalization of key sectors, the Dr Otti leadership has ushered in a new era of transparency, accountability and people-oriented governance.
He expressed joy that Abians are already feeling the impact of these transformational policies and made it clear that with the ongoing projects across all Local Government Areas, the Governor’s vision for a modern and prosperous Abia is quickly becoming a reality with the state now an attractive hub for investors and a model for effective governance.
While welcoming the numerous initiatives aimed at improving the lives of residents, the Senior Special Assistant commended the recent MoU signed by the government to install fiber optic Internet connectivity across the state, stressing that it would attract numerous economic benefits.
“From road rehabilitation to investments in education, healthcare, and economic empowerment, Governor Otti’s administration is setting new standards in governance. Key projects such as the reconstruction of major roads, provision of essential amenities and the promotion of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), have significantly boosted economic activities across the state”, he stated.
He therefore encouraged citizens to continue to support the government’s vision for a better and more prosperous state, arguing that with the current spate of development, Abia is fast becoming a model for good governance and setting a precedent for other states.
