Nigerian Music sensation and renowned Singer, David Adeleke known as Davido has warned against any form of vote manipulation in the forthcoming Osun date Gubernatorial .
Davido in a post where he shared a video on Instagram showing former INEC resident electoral commissioner, Prof Nnenna Otti speaking on election fraud and how it affects results, vowed to resist any attempt to rig the Osun State governorship election scheduled for August 15, 2026.
“On August 15, anybody who tries to rig will face the consequences in the highest order. I will be in the field to defend our votes. Keke must be used if need be!!! @aadeleke_01, I’ve got your back, sir!” the renowned Singer wrote.
Davido’s Uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke, is seeking a second term mandate under the Accord Party.
Governor Adeleke who has raised alarm of plots to manipulate the poll to the advantage of APC that lost the election to him while sojourning in the PDP in 2022 is now a member of Avcord Party.
The singer has continued to show strong interest in politics around the Osun election.
He has previously accused Gboyega Oyetola of political desperation and claimed there were plans that could disturb peace in the state.
Davido was also named as the head of youth mobilisation for the Accord Party campaign council after joining the party.
