Gov Otti mourns Founder Gregory University Prof Ibe

Abia state Governor, Dr Alex Otti, has expressed sadness over the death of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) governorship candidate in the 2023 election Professor Gregory Ikechukwu Ibe.

Governor Otti, in a statement issued on Monday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ferdinand Ekeoma, noted that Prof Ibe made significant contributions to education and research in Nigeria, particularly in Abia State.

The Governor said he had hoped and prayed that the respected administrator and philanthropist who battled an illness for some time, would recover and urged the deceased’s family, friends and associates to draw strength from the life he lived and the legacies he left behind.

He appealed to them not to mourn like those without hope, but to take solace in Prof Ibe’s fulfilled and impactful life and uphold his virtues and enduring contributions.

Governor Otti, on behalf of his family, the Abia State Government and the people of the state, commiserated with the family of the deceased and prayed to God to grant the late Professor Ibe eternal rest.
