There are indications that all may not be well in the APC Primaries for the House of Representatives seats in Abia rescheduled to hold Saturday morning (16/5/26) as stakeholders of the party and aspirants have been invited to an emergency stakeholders’ meeting scheduled to hold same Saturday at 4pm.
A release endorsed by the Abia chapter publicity secretary, Uche Aguoru puts the venue at the New Party Secretariat, Finbarr’s road, Umuahia .
The release states that attendance is mandatory for all aspirants and stakeholders, as the meeting will herald the commencement of the House of Representatives Primary Election.
Recall, the House of Rep primary which was scheduled for Friday was shifted to Saturday by the National committee citing logistics as the reason.
Hanto Daily News reports that some sources interviewed were of the opinion that there are indications that direct primaries may not take place as consensus arrangement is being canvassed by a section.
